Family “Horse and Husky” Outdoor Adventure Vacation
Learn how to ride horses and care for them in a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. Meet our beautiful herd of horses. Learn about different breeds, grooming, horse behavior, and learn basic horsemanship and have beginner riding lessons in our ring. This is a great experience for first time riders and kids!
Spend quality time our friendly, well socialized huskies and two new litters of puppies. Learn about the care and handling of sled dogs, harnessing, lead dog training, dog carting, swim conditioning and much more. Fun and educational for all dog lovers.
Get to know our friendly llama herd and learn the ancient Peruvian skill of llama trekking. Learn to Groom and pack up your own llama. Llama Obstacle coursing, trekking and Llama soccer. (No spitting allowed)
Enjoy close encounters with our very special and socialized Hummingbirds, Tipi building and camp craft, hiking to natural swimming holes and beaver dams, canoeing/kayaking trips on Lake Umbagog and Androscoggin River to observe Bald Eagles and Moose**, Night time camp fires and our exciting Bat- photo workshops.
 Over Night Packages Include:
• Lodging at the Telemark Wilderness Lodge or the Bethel Inn Resort*
• 2 hour Morning and 2 hour Afternoon activities (horseback riding, husky training, llama activities, hummingbirds, hiking, evening campfires, canoeing** and more)

DAY HORSE AND HUSKY PROGRAM for FAMILIES:
 Looking for a unique and educational experience for you and your children while you're on vacation? Come spend the day at Horse and Husky camp at The Telemark Wilderness Lodge. Located in West Bethel, just a 15 min. drive from Bethel Maine, and one hour from North Conway, NH - it is home to 10 beautiful horses, 70 sweet and affectionate Alaskan Huskies, and a small herd of llamas. Our Horse and Husky camp is hands on and fun! Camp includes these activities...
- Horse activities: Basic horsemanship and beginner riding lessons in the ring (pony rides for small children)
- Husky activities: Learn about our authentic teams of Alaskan racing huskies, spend time in the dog yard getting to know these friendly, well socialized athletes. Try your hand at grooming, harnessing, Cani-cross and dog carting (if it's cool enough for the dogs), playing with our new litter of husky puppies!
- Llama fun: Learn about these unusual creatures—grooming, leading and llama obstacle coursing!
This is a rotating program where small groups (no more than 6 people) will spend approx. 1 hour with each animal group (i.e. Horses, Huskies, Llamas) and then rotate to the next animal group.
FAMILY DAY PRICING for Non- Telemark Wilderness Lodge guests (no age minimum for children with parents) 
- Half day: $75 per adult - $50 per child 9:30am-12 and 1pm-3:30pm
- Whole day: $125 per adult (includes box lunch) $90 per child, children 2 years old and under Go free. (with two paying family members)
Our day program runs from 9:30- 3:30 daily, and includes a box lunch
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED
Add Ons: private horseback riding lessons or trail rides for experienced riders (riders who can walk, trot, post to the trot, and canter and control their horse outside of a ring) private lessons: $75 trail rides: $75 for one hour
