The Trails - click the map for more details

The Balsams' trail system is world class. Comparable to the carriage roads at Acadia National Park, they are perfect for both horseback riding and carriage driving. These trails climb to the hieght of land with spectacular views into Canada; they wind through fragrant balsam fir forests and around wilderness lakes and streams teaming with brook trout. Here, moose and black bear sightings are common.
This pristine wilderness setting, spectacular trails, 5-star dining and lodging, and great horses, make for an unparelleled equestrian vacation!
With over 60 miles of well maintained carriage roads and trails at the Balsams, and over 75 miles of scenic dirt roads that leave from our doorstep, the possibilities for exploration are almost endless!"
