Great Wilderness Adventure
The staff were very friendly and gracious hosts. There’s plenty to do (especially if you like spending time with dogs!) dog-sledding, horseback riding, carriage riding, hiking, or relaxing in the cabin. If you’re active, you can run with younger dogs to train them for dog-sledding, and if you’d rather take it slow, you can hang out with cats, llamas, horses, or sit in sled and enjoy the ride. Every last one of the 70-odd dogs was friendly, as the staff go to great lengths to make sure all their animals are well cared for and happy.
I would advise visitors to read weather forecasts and pack accordingly. I happened to go during a particularly cold week in January, and I was very glad that I packed extra warm clothes.
