Horseback Riding and Carriage Driving Packages

We have both english and western saddles. Our horses are well trained and enjoy their jobs. They receive the best of care and are treated with love and respect. We have a wide variety of horses including: Morgans, Hackney ponies, Hackney/Morgan crosses, Friesian / Morgan crosses, an Andalusian cross, Quarter horses, a Percheron cross, and a Standard bred. Most of our horses ride and drive.

We offer 2-5 day riding vacations for beginner and experienced riders.

Learn To Ride packages:
You will spend a lot of time getting to know our horses, learning about horse behavior, and becoming comfortable grooming and handling them. We will go over basic horse care, saddling and riding skills. These packages are best suited to beginner and Novice riders wanting to improve their horse knowledge and riding skills. **

Trail Riding packages:
These are best suited to intermediate and advanced level riders who can trot, and post, for extended periods of time, canter, and control their horse over varied terrain. The rides are 2-3 hours long. We'll explore the beautiful woodland trails in and around the White Mountain National Forest area, and ride along scenic wilderness ponds and brooks, and down quiet country dirt roads. Our group size is small, only 2-5 riders; and our guides are qualified instructors who will help you get to know your horse and improve your riding skills.

Carriage Driving packages:
Explore the miles of quiet country roads that surround The Telemark Inn. Learn the elegant art of carriage driving with our well trained carriage horses. Our driving vacations are suitable for someone who has never driven before.... sit next to a knowledgeable driver and learn everything from harnessing and hitching, types of carriages and driving techniques, to taking the reins and exploring the many scenic miles of dirt roads that leave from our doorstep.

All Riding and Carriage Driving Packages Include:

• Lodging at the Telemark Inn Wilderness Lodge or the Bethel Inn Resort
• 2-3 hours of horseback riding or carriage driving each day
• Breakfast and lunch, with dinner optional
• Other activities include: Sled Dog Training, Llama Handling, playing with Puppies, hiking, swimming, fishing ( catch and release) and wildlife observations.

Rates:

• Riding Packages: $260 per day, per person d.o. (2 day min), additional days for $250 per day - Kids Price minus 20%
• Carriage Driving Packages: $300 per day, per person d.o.(2 day min.), add additional days for $290 per day
• Learn to Ride Lessons (one hour lesson) $95 per person
• Trail Rides for Experienced Riders (2 hours) $145 per person
• Carriage Driving Lesson (2 hours) $175 per person second person in carriage $75
