Programs for Camps, Schools and Scouts

For outdoor oriented camps and school groups looking for a unique, fun and educational experience, our “Horse and Husky” program may be just the thing! Both day and overnight programs are available. Our past clients include Waldorf schools, various Maine and NH summer camps, Boys and Girls Scout troops, Kids Peace, Perkins School for the Blind, numerous elementary school classes, and even Veterans without Boundaries.

• Husky activities: Learn about our authentic teams of Alaskan racing huskies, spend time in the dog yard getting to know these friendly, well socialized athletes. Grooming, harnessing, lead dog training, Cani-cross and dog carting (cooler weather permitting), playing with our new litter of husky puppies!
• Llama fun: Learn about these unusual creatures—grooming, leading and llama obstacle coursing!
• Horse activities: Basic horsemanship and beginner riding lessons in the ring.
• Hummingbirds up close
• Hiking to local waterfalls and beaver dams

We can custom build the program to include the activities that the group is most interested in doing. Some may want to spend more time with the horses, while others may want to concentrate more on learning about Iditarod style sled dogs and their puppies, while others might be studying llamas and interested in treks to the waterfalls and beaver dams, and others might prioritize hiking, canoeing and camp craft and primitive skills.

Overnight accommodations for larger groups are available.
